Carving on wood (river gum)

A coolamon is a curved vessel traditionally used by Aboriginal women to carry tucker (food) or to cradle babies. This river gum wood was hand carved with symbols depicting the flow of water.

Due to the delicate and bulky nature, I am unable ship artworks on stretched canvas or wood. This will need to be picked up from my studio in Hamilton NSW 2303. Complete address will be provided after checkout and I will be in touch to arrange a suitable time for collection.
